Curt Warner’s First Run From Scrimmage

Seattle Seahawks running back and third selection overall in the 1983 NFL Draft, Curt Warner was off and running on the first play from scrimmage in the September 4, 1983 opening with the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium with a 60 yard run around left end. Warner finished with 90 yards rushing on 12 carries and caught six passes for another 72 yards and one touchdown.

Good Ol’ Cleveland Municipal Stadium

Seattle Seahawks General Manager Mike McCormack looks out onto the playing surface at Cleveland Municipal Stadium prior to the 1983 NFL regular season game between the Seahawks and Browns. McCormack, who played nine seasons with the Browns starting both ways on the line, was perhaps reminiscing about the days of championship games and pulling for Jim Brown or blocking Gino Marchetti.
